There, she became the lead dog trainer, responsible for rehabilitating dogs from pounds, many with complex behavioural needs.
Ceallai was trained by internationally recognised dog behaviourists Steve and Vicki Austin, completing her certification with flying colours due to her extensive real-world experience. She went on to develop formal training and rehabilitation programs at the shelter, supporting over 200 dogs at any given time.
Her training philosophy is simple but powerful: dogs should want to work with us out of love and respect, not fear. At FurBaby’s Puppy School, she uses only positive, reward-based training techniques, building confidence, trust, and strong bonds between puppies and their humans.
Ceallai also has experience running puppy classes in veterinary clinics and council parks, and has trained staff in low-stress handling and managing high-risk behaviours in rescue environments.
