Great Breakfast Ideas
Making a good breakfast is important, especially if you are on a diet. In a few minutes at night, you can head out to your favorite diner for a burger and eggs, but that won’t be the healthiest of meals. If you really want to make healthy choices for your breakfast and enjoy a bit of comfort food, consider the following recipe for the best bacon and egg recipe you’ve ever tasted.
-Whole Eggs – If you have two large eggs and two pounds of bacon, this will be a bit much, but for one or two eggs at the most, this is a good start. If you have an eight-inch skillet, use that instead of the pan to cook in. Then just throw your eggs in the skillet with the bacon, turn the heat on medium, and let them cook until they are a nice golden brown.
-Bacon – Bacon is a great choice for breakfast when you don’t want to take a lot of eggs. You can leave it out of the recipe entirely and just have bacon and oatmeal. All you need to do is add the bacon to the mixture after it has cooked in the pan and you’re ready to go. Bacon is also a great source of protein and low fat.
-Eggs – Eggs and bacon are a match made in heaven. However, if you prefer them to be a bit thicker, then you may want to add about a half an inch of oil to the mixture before cooking. After it has cooked, you will want to stir it constantly to ensure it gets cooked evenly.
-Coffee – Coffee and eggs are a wonderful combination, but if you don’t like the taste of coffee, then try using skim milk instead. Just add about two tablespoons of cream or sour cream to the eggs, coffee, and bacon mixture and let them cook together in the oven.
-Eggs and sausage – Add a few tablespoons of milk to the mix to create a thick paste. Mix in some flour to thicken the mix and bake it in the oven for a few minutes. Serve it with your favorite breakfast sausage. Or, you can create a sausage gravy that is similar to what you would make with bacon and onions.
-Sausage – Sausage and eggs are a tasty combination, but if you prefer sausage without eggs, use half an onion. Add a couple of tablespoons of milk to the mix and bake in the oven. Your guests will love it.
-Bacon and cheese – This makes a delicious breakfast sandwich, but if you don’t like cheese on your bacon, then try using black pepper instead. After cooking, you can either eat it plain or combine it with sausages or eggs to create a breakfast burrito. Try adding green beans and corn to complete the meal.
-Bacon and cabbage – Make the mix and let it marinate overnight. The next day, chop up some cabbage and add it to the mix. Add about half an ounce of cheese to it, and you have a nice delicious treat that you can eat all morning long.
-Coffee and tea bags – Add some instant coffee, tea bags, and coffee grinds to the mix and add some cinnamon. Let the mixture cook in the microwave for a minute or two and then enjoy a warm cup of hot tea. Enjoy this healthy combination at anytime of the day, but you will definitely be surprised how much it tastes good.
